  Your main site is hosted on Godaddy and Godaddy has crashed due to an attack – some of it is back up

  It’s interesting to see how many blogger do not know who their web host is. I never forget who I pay my money too.

  This time the main site is on Godaddy but they have their WordPress.COM blog mapped as a sub-domain to their main site –

  And yes the steady stream of people with .ORG installs asking about their sites today – the pitchforks are out in some of the news thread I have looked at

  so it makes sense that my main site still works fine? Original wordpress url doesnt work either…..

  Yes, since your domain is registered through GoDaddy and your subdomain is mapped via GoDaddy’s DNS, it’s unfortunately inoperable until GoDaddy resolves the problem on their end.
