My blog isn't showing up in search engines

How can search engines pick up my site? Is it just a matter of upping the number of hits, or is there something more?

Hi there,
It can take a little time for search engines to index a brand new site, but it will happen over time and your site should go up in the search engine results as you publish more and more content. I checked Google and I see that it has indexed your blog:
