My blog wont go live?
-
I’ve set up my wordpress account, but my blog isn’t publishing
Blog url: http://nickycolclough.wordpress.com/The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ve linked my blog to a .co.uk address, and when you go to either my wordpress url or my .co.uk url, I get a page saying ‘website not found’???
Any help would be much appreciated.
thanks.

It looks like the domain nickycolclough.co.uk was never registered.
We can only register .com, .org, .net, and .me domains here. You’ll need to register nickycolclough.co.uk elsewhere first, then map it here following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

Ok thanks for your help.
So wordpress allowed me to use nickycolclough.co.uk as my primary domain and charged me for registering this domain as part of my upgrade package, although you can’t actually register .co.uk with wordpress???
And now I can’t get a refund for this!

We only charged you $13 for the Domain Mapping, which is what you need if you want to direct the domain to your blog, though the domain still needs to be registered elsewhere.
I have canceled and refunded this as requested.

So I registered nickycolclough.co.uk elsewhere, but wordpress still charged me to map it, I thought I’d already been charged by wordpress for domain mapping?
I’ve set up nickycolclough.co.uk as my primary domain but I’m still not able to publish my blog??? … any help here would be much appreciated.
thanks.

As mentioned, I canceled and refunded it per your request above, so you did need to be charged again to map it again.
Your name servers are set incorrectly on nickycolclough.co.uk. Per the guide at http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/ they need to be:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM NS2.WORDPRESS.COM NS3.WORDPRESS.COM -
Ok thanks, and my apologies. Still getting to grips with it all.
I set my name servers with ipage.com to:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMBut I only did it about an hour ago, I’ve just read it can take 72 hours to take effect. So i’ll give it a few days first I guess.

Yes, when a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors”. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records.
It should be fine so, but no more 72 hours at the latest.
