My contact email when activated comes up invalid.

    My contact email address on my website when activated comes up invalid. Am I suppose to put in my general email address I use ? For example my Gmail address? Or am I suppose to create a special email pertaining to my website, like the one I’ve put in but doesn’t, work?

    Hi Tanya,

    What contact email address are you speaking of? And where exactly on your site did you add it?

    We do not ask for a contact email anywhere on WordPress.com – if you choose to publish your email address on your site you can do that, but you’ll have to use an email address that already exists and that you have access to for people to be able to contact you at that address.

    If you set up a WordPress.com contact form that will automatically forward to the email address provided for your WordPress.com account, though you can change it to forward to a different address if you prefer.
