I purchased a domain through wordpress.com and it expired. I am trying to renew it and have called Wild West that somehow is associated, so they inform me. How do I go about renewing my domain?????

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • I can look into that for you. What is the URL of the domain in question?

  • Our records show that slimhealthysexy.com expired on 23-nov-2016.

Domain expiration is a lengthy and complicated process that takes about 80 days. During this time, your domain may be put up for auction or sold on back-order.

You can learn more about domain expiration here:

    Domain Expiration

The good news is that we may still be able to recover your domain if it has not yet been deleted or purchased by someone else.

A late renewal fee of $80 will be added to the regular price of renewal. This fee is charged by the domain registry and is not one that we can waive.

The total price will be $98, which is $18 for the regular renewal, plus the $80 late renewal fee. If you do not wish to pay the $80 fee, you may let the domain expiration process continue and attempt to register the domain again at the regular price, once it has completely expired. Please note that someone else may purchase the domain first, in which case you will be unable to register it again.

Let me know what you would like to do.

Yes, I understand the upcharge of $98.00 and would like to proceed. I have my billing updated with a credit card. Would you please proceed.
Thank you very much for your help.

  • Thank you for your reply. However, we have a second issue, the WordPress.com user account that you are posting from is not the owner of that upgrade.

Typically this happens because you ended up with a second WordPress.com user account at some point and THAT account is the one that was used to purchase the upgrade. You will need to log into that second account and make the request in order to start the process to recover the domain.
