  Hi, my name is Margarita. I set up a wordpress blog before getting hosted by bluehost so my URL is wifeofastudent.wordpress.com. When I became hosted I made the URL wifeofastudent.com, so without ‘wordpress’. Is there a way I can change that in my wordpress account?

  Hi there,

  I’m not sure what you want to do.

  Did you buy wifeofastudent.com with Bluehost? And do you have a site at that domain already? Because that’s what it means if you say you’re hosted with Bluehost – that you installed the WordPress software on Bluehost’s servers and that you used it to build a site with them.

  Or do you want that domain to show your site at wifeofastudent.wordpress.com? If this is what you mean, then you’re not hosted by Bluehost, but they’re only your domain provider. If you connect that domain to your WordPress.com site you’re hosted by WordPress.com.

  To do that you’ll first need to add a plan to your site under My Site ->Plans. Once you’ve done that you can then add the domain mapping upgrade to connect your domain:
