  when can i expect my domain to be cancelled and available again as promised by sales at time of refund?

  This can take a couple week. As an anti fraud measure, registrars hold onto domains that are registered and quickly canceled.

  If you like, I can try and reverse the cancellation. I will let you know if I am successful, it typically takes 12-48 hours.

  If successful, you will need to re-purchase the yearly domain registration. Then you will be able to use the domain here on WordPress.com or point your domain to a new webhost using these instructions:
