my domain doesn’t talk to my wordpress.com

I am a novice!
1. went to Bluehost and bought a domain
2. went to Etsy to buy a theme and get someone to help me pick one out based on what I needed my website to do.
3. my etsy person wants to know if the plan I have with wordpress is business or free. when I go to wordpress, it says I don’t have a site, even though I can pull up the site.
4. this may be part of the problem: I apparently made a wordpress account years ago but my old account doesn’t know about my newly purchased domain. Please Help Me! -
You’re logged in to a WordPress.com account. BlueHost is a completely different place to WordPress.com. Both are places where sites are hosted. You need to decide if you want to have your site hosted at BlueHost, building a site with the WordPress.org software, or have a site hosted here at WordPress.com. That would entail mapping your existing domain and upgrading to the WordPress.com Business plan if you wish to use that theme you’ve purchased.
