My domain expired

  My domain expired and I’d like to have it restored, I am very hopeful that I can pay for another year and recover my site as I do not have an updated backup. The link wordpress sends me to asks me to upgrade my plan, but before I was paying 18 dollars a year and this is 2.99 per month, so I am wondering if its even the same thing?
