  Can I change my domain name when I buy a plan to a completely different name or does it only take off the .wordpress?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  You don’t even need to buy a plan to change the WordPress.com URL.

  You can change your blog address by going to My Blogs, and clicking the Change Blog Address link that appears when you hover over the address you want to change:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/

  Note that you have the option to choose your user name to match the new blog address. If you choose this option, you will not be able to revert back to the original username, and it can affect profile URLs for other services such as Gravatar or IntenseDebate.
