My domain name is taken, not what?

    The domain name I want (my own name!) is taken. I think I can buy this name from whoever owns it. What is the step-by-step way to do this through WP?

    You or your agent would need to contact the owner of the domain directly. WordPress.COM does not have accept incoming domain transfers so the domain name would need to stay not registered with WordPress.COM.

    You did not say who the registrar is. I don’t know if WordPress.COM allows registrations to be transferred and kept with WordPress.COM.
