  Hi jestinjose98,

  That’s correct, the follower number on the “Follow Blog” widget is a combination of WordPress.com followers and those on social media accounts connected via Publicize:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/followers/#social-media-followers

  Those people are listed as followers because they will see post links shared on that social media service.
