My Import from blogger is not working

Help! I have tried multiple times, and nothing ever gets imported. Seems like it just times out. This has been happening for days. The screen just turns to a blank page in WordPress How can I get help with this? The file is 45 MB, says ax import size is 64 so I am under??

@pinkloulou are you making sure you’re exporting the posts from blogger rather than the design? It seems they offer both options, and 45MB seems a bit big for just posts.

Thank you so much for the response! I am following the directions, but am definitely open to help, haha! It is just a backup option from blogger like it asked me to do, an xml file. the posts go back to 2009 so probably why it is a big file. I can’t seem to find any help with this, the website just times out it seems?

To what site are you trying to import? I don’t see any WordPress.com sites in the account you’re using to post here.
If you’re importing to a site built with the open source WordPress software found on WordPress.org we’re not able to help here, as we have no access to your site.
The most likely cause is that your server is timing out due to the size of the file. The recommendation in that situation is to use an XML splitter app to split your export file into smaller pieces, or else you’ll need to contact your hosting provider to increase the memory limits for your site.
