My media button does not work, I need step by step instructions on how to fix

My media button will not work for adding photos, need this fixed immediately. I am a very basic computer person, just trying to get my media button to work. Can someone give me step by step instructions that a child could understand on how to fix this? Please and thank you.

I thank you very much for taking the time to help me. After trying the above options what did work for me is disabling my plugins. My media button then started to work. Thank you again for your help.

Then you gave us the wrong information in the first place. http://cookingcouponsandkids.wordpress.com/ does not use plugins. You are clearly talking about a blog using wordpress.ORG software, and are in the wrong forum.
