Hi @rfathieh, you don’t seem to have a custom domain with us, at least not under this account.
If you do have a domain registered through us, can you log into the proper account and get in touch here?

Hi supernovia –
I bought my domain through google before registering with wordpress. The domain is http://www.yogabear.co, and the DNS is now propogating to point to BlueHost. My wordpress dashboard lists yogabearco.wordpress.com as my site (and another site called The Protector, which I never created, by the way, which concerns me…). I need my wordpress dashboard to read yogabear.co and for everything to be synced together. Could you please help with this?
Thank You,

*update* I just paid to have http://www.yogabear.co mapped to my wordpress. It is however telling me my dns needs to point to ns1.wordpress.com etc, and my host told me it needs to point to them – soo which is it?

Hi @rfathieh, thanks, seeing the domain helps.
If you want yogabear.co to point to Bluehost, log into key-systems.net (if that’s where you bought your domain.) Set the namservers to point only to ns1.bluehost.com and ns2.bluehost.com, and remove the other entries.
If you wanted it to point to us instead, you would keep the ones for ns1.wordpress.com, etc. and remove the ones for Bluehost.
Make sense? Basically, you get to decide where to point the domain. If you don’t want it to point to our servers, you don’t need mapping, and you don’t need the settings to point here.
Then you save your changes and wait a few hours for them to take effect. I hope that helps.

I just pointed it to my host because apparently nothing works if I point it to wordpress. hopefully this resolves things. Currently my domain returns “error too many redirects.”
My host is telling me they don’t support wordpress.com only wordpress.org. What does this mean? I am totally lost and nothing works.
My login on wordpress also does not work.
thanks for your help.

Okay, if you’ve given those new settings some time, you should be fine.
My host is telling me they don’t support wordpress.com only wordpress.org.
That is right, WordPress.org is free software you can install anywhere. WordPress.com is a service. It’s like the difference between a recipe and a restaurant, if that helps.

Thank you. It seems things are connected now, however, when I make changes to my theme, “save and publish,” none of my changes show up and in fact get erased once I click out of the “Customize” theme browser. Frustrating, as I’ve lost my work twice now, and can’t continue knowing any of my work will be erased again. Please help. Thanks a lot.

@rfathieh is this on your own copy of WordPress now? If so, you’ll want to ask for help in the WordPress.org forums:
