Hi there,
Right now, there aren’t any blog posts published on your site at http://technicalwriteraustralia.com/. Since that site is set to show your latest blog posts on the front page, it will show that message until you’ve published at least one post there.
You can head to the post editor to start writing new posts for your site. If you’re running into trouble creating and publishing those posts, or if you have any other questions, please let me know!

Hi. I edited the text on the About page and changed the image. Will these changes not show until I have at least one blog post? I had hoped that would show up right away.

You can see the changes to your About page by clicking on “About” in the menu in the top left or by going directly to that page:
http://technicalwriteraustralia.com/about/
I see you also added a featured image to the page. However, the image you added is pretty small — only 277 × 182 pixels. For that image to be used as the header image in the Chateau theme you’re using on your site, it will need to be at least 960 x 260 pixels.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

Thanks. Sorry to be taking up so much of your time. How do I make the about page the page that comes up when people go to http://www.technicalwriteraustralia.com ? I don’t know how to edit the page that comes up – I don’t like the image and it should be the one on the about page. Basically I want the about page to come up first. I tried adding a test page which worked but I’m still getting that error message at http://www.technicalwriteraustralia.com
Sorry I’m clueless :)

No need to apologize — I’m happy to help. :)
You can follow the steps in our Front Page guide to change what comes up on the front page of your site.
To get started, you can go to Settings > Reading in your site’s dashboard. Next to “Front page displays” you can select “A static page.” Then, next to “Front Page:” you can choose your About page to have it appear on your site’s front page.
Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that!

Hi
I just purchased another blog gblle.com and the about page is coming up as technicalwriteraustralia.com How can I change this to reflect gblle.com. I must have set it up under technicalwriteraustralia.com by accident.
Thanks

Hi there!
By default, a new site’s About page will show the information in your account’s My Profile settings. You can change what shows on that About page by heading to the site’s pages and editing the About page. You can edit that page to include whatever information you’d like, instead of showing the default profile information.
Please let me know if you have any other questions about that. :)

The name you see on the About page is the “Public Display Name” on your My Profile page. Changing that public display name will change it everywhere you’re using it with your viacommunications account.
However, you can also head to the About page at http://gblle.com/about/ and click the “Edit” link there to edit just that site’s About page. There, you can enter whatever information you want to display on that About page without changing your account information.
Alternately, you can transfer the site to a completely different WordPress.com account. In that case, it will be completely separate from your viacommunications account and profile.

My blog gblle.com is labelled ‘My Blog’ not gblle.com
Is there a way I can fix this. It’s labelling the actual header of the blog as My Blog. I want it to read gblle.com
Thanks

NB There is a free wordpress hosted blog called gblle.com that I created in the process of organising the domain name etc. The new url is gblle.com

Sure thing! That’s your blog’s Site Title, and you can change it in your blog’s General Settings.
