My posts no longer show up in the reader?

    Hi. I recently paid money for my blog to have the URL of moviemanjackson.com. Before, everytime I posted a blog post it would immediately show up in the reader. Now, it doesn’t do so.

    I was wondering if this was because I purchased a domain name now. But I feel that this couldn’t be it as many of the bloggers I follow use .com with no wordpress preceding it, and their posts show up in the reader.

    Could you please advise me on what to do? Maybe it is just taking longer than usual? I like wordpress, and I just want my posts to show up in the reader again.

    The most likely reason is that you are using too many tags+categories on your posts. This post for example has 27 tags+categories:

    Missing Posts

    If you have published a new post and it isn’t showing up on tag pages for the tags and categories that you’ve used, there are several possible explanations:

    1. You are using too many categories or tags. In most cases, there’s no need to assign more than a handful of tags per post. If you use more than 15 tags and categories (total), your posts will not appear on tag pages (because you don’t want to see irrelevant content showing up there, and neither do we).

    Thanks! Well actually, the post showed up the next day, so maybe it was a glitch thing, who knows. But I’ll keep note of the tagging recommendation.

    I would encourage you to reduce the number of tags+categories on future (and past) posts to under 15. Without doing so, you are missing out on traffic from the tag/topic search function.
