I am running housing blog and I have attached my photo to my profile. I don’t understand why my photo and phone number are attached to every email I send. I did not know that the blog is connected with my emails. Could you please advice what I need to do to have my photo displayed only with the blog posts and not with every email I send. Regards.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there when you are the author of a post, your Gravatar profile photo may be sent out with the email to subscribers. If you don’t want your personal photo to appear, you might consider changing your profile photo to the site logo or something else more neutral.
However, to the best of my knowledge, your phone number shouldn’t be sent in emails unless you’ve added it to your posts and I don’t see it on your site.

The problem is that someone who is not a subscriber received my email to his Yahoo mailbox and he was able to see my photo and phone number underneath. That is very strange. I think this must to be something what was set at the beginning of my blog, but I don’t know how to reset it. -

I do not know why your phone number is displaying, but am happy to track it down and help you get things sorted.
Please confirm for me if this is happening for posts published on angushousingblog.wordpress.com or a different site.
Take a screen shot of the email notification where your phone number is displayed. Do not post it here. I will collect if via email or you can add it in to the media library where I can view it (if you’re working on angushousingblog.wordpress.com). Thanks :)

The phone number should not be included from a WordPress.com post notification email. I’m wondering if OP is actually working on a different site.

Hello again, I see you’ve changed your profile photo since you posted your original post in this thread, so that’s a start. As staff-zinnia mentioned, if you can take a screenshot of your email notification with the phone number and then upload it to your site’s Media Library, that will help Staff track down the problem. Is it possible that you are using a different email subscription service than the default WordPressdotcom one?

@lucynahousing I agree with @justjennifer — it does sound like you may be using a different email subscription service. You might even be using a different site.
If it is on this site though, we’re happy to help. Please do gather a screenshot of what you’re seeing in these emails, if possible, and upload it to wordpress.com/media — we’ll go from there.
