My published post isn’t showing up in the wordpress reader

    I’ve been a newbie to the whole blogging world. i never had any complaints regarding wordpress previously. Now, I had published a new post, its been hours and yet it does not show up in the reader.
    – I republished (changed the publish date and time) the post several times;
    – I enabled AMP
    – I also reloaded my reader several times.
    – I unfollowed and refollowed my site.
    Now the issue is that my post is showing up on my site and even under the wordpress preview of my blog. It’s not in the latest posts of the reader section.
    I depend on wordpress reader views as that is the only way I get traffic, in comparison to external traffic. Since my following isn’t widespread, I’m not sure if I’d get anything on that post.
    Please help me resolve it.
