My registered domain is not functioning

  I have registered the domain http://kevnice.com to my blog, http://kevnice.wordpress.com. In the past I have always been able to access my blog by going to the registered domain. However, the last time I tried to visit that particular URL, it was no longer functioning and my ISP could not find the site. I was pretty sure I had renewed the domain and sure enough, it is valid until January 2013. What happened? It has totally destroyed traffic to my blog. I am very angry.

  In fact, even visiting the blog url of http://kevnice.wordpress.com doesn’t work as it redirects to the domain I have registered. The only way I can even view the page is by accessing WordPress and logging in. I have not received any communication for WordPress about this matter.

  Your domain mapping is still good with us, but your domain registration expired on February 19.

  I recommend contacting your domain registrar ASAP.

  For now, I have set your primary domain back to http://kevnice.wordpress.com/

  I don’t understand. I checked the domain registration, it said it was good until January of 2013…

  Yes, that was the domain mapping. The domain itself is registered at 1 & 1 INTERNET AG. Please contact them to renew your domain.
