My sidebar in the admin dashboard is not showing all the available options

  The sidebar options like ‘Media’ and ‘Appearances’ are not showing up in my admin page.
  Currently the only available options are ‘tools’, ‘posts’ and ‘pages’. And the only widget that is showing up is ‘Blog2Social.’ Any help is appreciated.

  Hi there,

  The site at https://newrationalist.com/ is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress software. We have no control over how that site works, and are unable to help with this.

  I’m guessing you don’t own that site? The most logical explanation for the missing options is that you are not logged in as an admin user on the site. Non-admins do not have access to all settings on a site, and specifically don’t have access to any customization settings.

  If you’re not an admin but you need access to these settings, you’ll need to ask another admin on the site to update your permissions.

  If you are the site owner, and logged in as an admin, but those options are missing, please ask in the self-hosted WordPress forums for help troubleshooting what might be wrong here:
