my site domain name disappeared

Hi,
When I signed up for this account, I chose a domain name as my websites domain name, this prompted me to create this account. I activated it through the email I received after signing up. When I logged in and went to ‘My Site’ (on the top left the home page), the site wasn’t listed, and it prompted me to make a new domain name. The domain name I want isn’t available, even though I already chose it when I signed up for this account. Could you please tell me what occurred and whether or not I can get the domain name I want.

The account you’re using to post here is two days old and has never owned a WordPress.com site, so you most likely created the site you’re looking for using a different username.
What is the address you are trying to use?

vgsc.wordpress.com I checked if it went to my other wordpress account username: sailngarbwm but didn’t see it.

vgsc.wordpress.com doesn’t exist, meaning it has never been registered on WordPress.com before.
It is also reserved, meaning only the person with the username, vgsc, is able to register that specific address.
