Great – thanks. Please can you tell me how I would find the URL of the site? I called the site JMGHistory, and spent many hours (days) creating it. There was not much content on it yet, but I was planning to do this in 2021. Many thanks.

Thanks, I think I’ve spotted it.
You paid for an upgrade previously, correct? Can you use the transaction ID to gain access?

Note you will not want to post it here on our forums. But you can use that form with the ID. Or if you have trouble with that and need us to reach out, let us know when you have the ID and we’ll do that.

Ok, I have tried this and it directs me to my email. But I do not have access to my old email address – that is the problem. I now have transaction IDs for the last three years, but feel like I am going around in circles here. I have paid for my blog, but cannot access it, and nor can anyone else!
I tried a second time, and received this message: Sorry but the website you gave does not exist on WordPress.com. Is it a self-hosted WordPress.org website?
All I require is for you to alter the old email address with the new one – it really should not be this complicated! Please help?!
Perhaps I can have an actual contact email address so that someone can arrange what is necessary.

Are you talking about jmghistory.com? That site has been suspended by ICAN due to “If the domain registrant’s email address is not verified by the registrant, the domain must be suspended.”

Oh, by the way – if you are happy that it is safe for me to do so, I can put the last three year’s transaction ID numbers on this chat. I was able to obtain these from my bank statements, as I obviously do not now have access to the old email receipts, and do not use PayPal.

We are not able to help here in the support forums, as verifying account ownership requires us to ask you to provide info that is best not shared in this public venue.
With this in mind, please fill out this form here to the best of your ability: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
You can add your transaction ID info on that form and it will send it to our account recovery team, and from there they will contact you directly to assist you in regaining access to the account that owns the site you are trying to access.

Hello, I really appreciate your help here but, as I said earlier, every time I try to submit this form it gives this message:

Then, when I try to submit again, it says this:

So I really need someone to give me some way of actually speaking to someone so that I can give them my new email address and then get things sorted. As noted, I seem to be going around in circles here. My old email address is dead and I have no access to it; my new email address is ready for you if only I could find a way to give it to you!
