my site has vanished

  I am a journalist and have had a WordPress account for 20 odd years. Recently, I published something on my wordpress blog a very powerful person objected to and all of a sudden, my entire site disappeared and I could no longer even log in.

  ‘CRITICAL ERROR’

  I spoke to Fluidhosting (the people who host), and they said it was a WordPress issue.

  Can someone there please help me asap?

  Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with FluidHosting.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

  WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
