  I’m trying to install ssl, screwed something up. I’m a novice for sure, but still feel it shouldn’t be this difficult. I need help, ideally someone who can walk me thru stuff for 10 mins via a WebEx screen share. Pls. Help.

  What is the URL of your site? from what you tell it looks you are talking about a site using the open source wordpress.org
