My site is not working properly

  Hi. My word press site has been hacked. There were links to a casino on all my pages which i deleted, but now the dashboard does bot work and the site does not publish any changes. My domain name is through Dreamhost. I think I need to delete the site and start one that is more secure with another company. How do I delete the site whilst keeping the domain name?
