My site is set to public but still isn’t visible when I look for it online.

I followed another tutorial online and have made sure that my site is set to public. However when I look for it in a different browser, I simply see a page saying new WordPress site coming soon. What’s the problem?

What is the URL of your site? https://downandouttravels.wordpress.com/ is showing fine but has no content. Mind these forums are for websites made on the wordpress.com platform. If you made your website with the free version of wordpress.org, their forum is at https://wordpress.org/support/

The URL should be: https://downandouttravels.com
I don’t know why the word ‘wordpress’ is in there as I purchased a domain name without it.
I made it with wordpress.org, I didn’t realise this was only for .com, I thought it might do both!

Also, please note that it is not hosted by us (WordPress.com). It is using the self-hosted version of WordPress and it is hosted by BlueHost. Therefore, you need to contact them regarding any issues you might have.
