my theme

    I’m trying to choose/change a theme but the original theme persists. I don’t want the quote or the picture and can’t figure out how to get rid of them

    I was just about to say:

    You just need to replace the sample post with your own content. https://en.support.wordpress.com/start/
    Also if you go to “Customize” “Theme Options” and remove your email address from the Header Gravatar box then the pink pattern will disappear from the front of your site.
    And if you’d like your own Gravatar image to appear elsewhere around WordPress.com such as here in the forums then go to: https://wordpress.com/me and choose another photo or image for your profile.

    But I see you have now deleted your site. Note that you will be unable to use that address again in the future.
