My Web design er cannot log in

    I changed my password to log in to my website, using my e-mail address as the user name. I gave all this info to my web designer as he needs to make some changes, but he cannot log in and has now been locked out for too many attempts. Please help as the changes he is doing are necessary. What is the problem? Can I not give a third party my log in crednetials?
