My Web page is now insecure
-
I went to add the Easycart plug in onto my web page and despite following the instructions, my web page is now insecure and I have no way of getting back into the dashboard to fix or even remove the offending plug in.
Why did this happen?
Does WordPress NOT accept Easycart? despite it being portrayed as a compatible plugin?

Hi –
The site mentioned does not use our managed hosting environment from WordPress.com. Instead, it’s set up on the open source WordPress.org software which is something different.
This page talks about this differences in more detail:
Help with that site comes from https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Far from helpful considering now I can’t even access my dashboard. We are NOT ALL techy people. Some of us actually struggle with this stuff.

Since the site isn’t on our hosting platform I don’t have any access to it. What you need to do is contact your hosting provider. Some of them provide help with the version of WordPress that you’re using.
Otherwise, go to https://wordpress.org/ and create an account. It’s not the same as your WordPress.com account, so you’ll need to create an account there. Then, you can post in those forums. https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
From there, a volunteer can help you.
I know it is confusing when you’re getting started. If you want us to be able to help you then we need to move your site over to WordPress.com’s managed hosting environment. I think that you’re going to find that much easier to manage because we handle a lot of the details.
