    I’m really confused. I hope someone can help. I thought I had a free account and had paid in full for my domain name. But it appears I didn’t understand. I really don’t want to renew or pay for something if not needed. I thought there was an option for a free page, but my page is currently not working and it says I have to pay to renew. I just need a very basic page right now. Thanks for any help or insight you can give.

    Domains are paid for annually and as you didn’t enable auto-renew your domain authorlindsaylake.com expired in October and is currently in redemption. If you wish to recover it there will now be an extra charge of $80 as well as the renewal fee. (If you don’t renew it there is always the chance that someone else could purchase your site name/your address in the future). To attempt recovery of the domain you’ll need to return to this thread and type modlook into the tag box on the right and then staff would intervene.

    If you aren’t concerned about continuing with paid hosting then the basic free WordPress.com site https://authorlindsaylakedotcom.wordpress.com/
    should continue to be accessible to you.
