my website has disappeared!

  Hi there,

  My website has disappeared completely! I am uptodate with my domain payments and I haven’t done anything to sabotage this. I commissioned a web developer years ago to build me a website via wordpress. It was working for years and today I just found out that it is not showing up anymore.

  Any suggestions would be helpful!

  We have absolutely no history of sites, domains, purchases, transactions, or billing activity of any kind under the account you’re currently logged into.

  What is the domain name you’re referring to?

  We have absolutely no history of that domain ever being registered or hosted here, which most likely means it was using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.   Your best option here is to contact your former hosting provider or domain registrar for assistance.
