My word press is showing an error 500

  I can’t get into the back end of my website at all currently- tried to update the version of wordpress and suddenly got an error 500 message and now can’t get in at all.

  I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble. However, it sounds like you have a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/ Your webhost’s support team is another good resource.
