  I have had a WordPress website for many years but it has been managed largely by a third party. Now that I am taking a more active role in updating the site, I have run into a problem: I can access the back end of the site through wp-admin and make changes to the content, but I don’t seem to have a WordPress account linked to the site so can’t log into WordPress and change settings, main page, etc.

  How do I go about linking the two or finding out if I actually have a WordPress account?
