My wordpress is down – server problem?

  My wordpress cannot be found when typing the URL gavinbevan.com. I can access my dashboard, edit posts etc but the blog itself cannot be found according to my browser.

  Your domain mapping subscription is still good, but it looks like your domain registration for gavinbevan.com expired on March 3.

  I recommend contacting your registrar ASAP.

  But, I’m sure I purchased my domain through WordPress & it just says I’m good until March 2013. Is this correct?

  No, that’s the domain mapping subscription. It directs a domain registered elsewhere to your WordPress.com blog.

  Your domain still is (or was) registered elsewhere, but it expired on March 3.

  This is all very confusing as it only started causing problems a few days ago, I can’t purchase a domain via wordpress & my URL is still taken according to domain websites.

  Yes, you’ll need to contact your registrar about renewing it.

  Once a domain expires, it becomes the property of the registrar and is only returned to the public market at their discretion.
