    Hi there,

WordPress.com is different from self-hosted and locally hosted versions of WordPress using the WordPress.org software. Because of that, there isn’t a way to set up a locally hosted version of a WordPress.com site the way you mentioned. (WordPress.com does not include database/MySQL access.)

Instead, you’d need to export all of the content from your WordPress.com site and import it at the self-hosted version. However, please keep in mind that the two versions of the site wouldn’t be linked and changes you make to the locally hosted version may not be possible here at WordPress.com, since there are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that.

    Thanks for your support,

I bought a domaine in wordpress.com and I thought it contains also database and MySQL, that can be used for wordpress.org, honestly a bit disappointed about the product ‘domaine’ wordpress.com sells.

much easier to do it with godaddy and also cheaper.

thanks again, for saving my time trying different options.

    Hi there,

If you decide to set up a WordPress site at GoDaddy, you’re welcome to use the domain name whatreallymatters.me that you purchased here. You can move the domain to GoDaddy when you set up your site there, so you can keep using it.

Please let me know if I can do anything more to help.

    Thanks Rachel!

Sure I can move my domaine whatreallymatters.me to goDaddy, but it is quite expensive (in comparison with prices for new domaines) , as I am still beginning with this blog I think it is a better option for me to buy a new one.
If you accept my constructive feedback, It is know easy for a beginner user to understand the difference between wordpress.com and .org

    Thanks Rachel!
