Mystery email sent from blog

  I have recently updated the website for my company, by removing the old website and create a new wordpress one on the same domain. I imported a theme (Bridge), and published the first few pages yesterday. I have had a few people contact me saying they have received an email with blog updates from my site. The blog posts are just the sample content that came with the theme. The blog part of the website has not been published, so I’m having a hard time trying to figure out how/why these emails are going to out, and if I can do anything to stop them?
