  Hello,

  I wanted to know why my domain name says, ‘https://travelinganimecom.wordpress.com’ instead of https://travelinganime.wordpress.com

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  This is because the address, travelinganime.wordpress.com, cannot be used.

  That address had been previously owned by you, but you deleted it eight years ago. Deleted WordPress.com addresses are not recycled and can never be used again, so our system generated a free address that was a close match to the one you wanted.

  Hello,

  Thank you for your response. I never owned a website named “traveling anime”? I’ve had two word press blogs & they were not named that.

  I wasn’t notified that it was taken, if I was I would’ve added a number instead of “com” :/ Is there anyway I can update my name so it doesn’t look so repetitive? Thank you for all your help!

  Alternatively, you can register a custom domain (like travelinganime.com) and hide the .wordpress.com address completely. You can read more about getting a custom domain here:
