Nameserver mapping for brftrelejon.se

    Hello WordPress
    I’ve got the trelejon.wordpress.com blog and the domain name brftrelejon.se which I’m trying to map to the wordpress blog. Both domains are registered through wordpress. I tried to update the DNS mapping for brftrelojon.se using the syntax below, but didn’t succeed.

    brftrelejon.se. IN CNAME ns1.wordpress.com.
    brftrelejon.se. IN CNAME ns2.wordpress.com.
    brftrelejon.se. IN CNAME ns3.wordpress.com.

    Please help me in updating the DNS mapping for brftrelejon.se so it points to trelejon.wordpress.com

    Hi Martin, to finish mapping brftrelejon.se to your WordPress.com site – assuming brftrelejon.se is a domain you already registered somewhere else and currently own – you’ll need to log into your domain registration control panel and update the name servers to:

    ns1.wordpress.com
    ns2.wordpress.com
    ns3.wordpress.com

    Please be sure to first read our guide to mapping an existing domain – especially the heads-up about any email accounts you may have on the domain.

    brftrelejon.se is registred through wordpress.com but DNS setting are incorrect. I’m notified that DNS settings needs to be updated to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM NS2.WORDPRESS.COM NS3.WORDPRESS.COM but I am unable to find the syntax on how to do this.
    I have read the guide you refer to, but I don’t find the syntax on how to update the name server setting for this domain in wordpress admin tool. I get the error 1. This does not match any of the DNS record formats. (plus two similar messages)
    What should the syntax look like to set the nameservers to the three entries above in wordpress.com admin page?

    Hi there, brftrelejon.se is not registered through WordPress.com – we don’t handle registration .se domains, although we can map any domain to your WordPress.com site.

    You’ll need to go back to the registrar where you bought the domain and log into your control panel there. Most domain registrars provide text fields where you enter the ns records. There isn’t any special syntax needed.

    It looks like your domain expired back in June, so you’ll need to contact your registrar (Loopia AB) and see if it can still be reactivated/renewed.
