Nameserver not registered??

    I want to update my nameservers.
    Yes, I have read through http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#update-nameservers about 50 times word for word. I must be missing something, because whenever I try to “Make any changes and click the OK button” the result is “Nameserver not registered.”
    What does this mean? How do I register a nameserver?

    I’ve seen in other forums that all I would need to do would be to update the “Host Summary” and set a new host and IP address. So I tried it. Still results in “Nameserver not registered.”

    My current nameservers are NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    I want them to be NS1.NORTHSTARPHOTOGRAPHYMN.COM and NS2.NORTHSTARPHOTOGRAPHYMN.COM

    What am I missing??

    It looks like you are trying to change the name servers to your domain name – the name servers usually point to your Host. But the name of the name servers might not be your host’s name.

    You need to contact your new host and find out what the name servers are that your new site is on.
