Navigation bar on home page
-
The navigation bar on my home page only displays the ‘home’ link. None of my other pages e.g. about, gallery, contact etc. are displayed. How to I resolve this? Once I get this resolved I would like to upgrade my site to an e-commerce site that will allow me to sell my photography prints. How do I make this happen? Where do I go to learn about the security features for credit card payment? I would like my potential customers to know their payment details are safe and secure.

Hi there!
The navigation bar on my home page only displays the ‘home’ link. None of my other pages e.g. about, gallery, contact etc. are displayed. How to I resolve this?
It looks like those pages you mentioned are published with the ‘private’ status. Can you try publishing them as Public? If you’re not ready for your site to be live yet, you can change the whole site’s privacy to private by following the instructions here: https://wordpress.com/support/settings/privacy-settings/
nce I get this resolved I would like to upgrade my site to an e-commerce site that will allow me to sell my photography prints. How do I make this happen?
You can upgrade by going to https://wordpress.com/plans
For e-commerce features, we suggest using WooCommerce. You can learn more about using WooCommerce on this page: https://wordpress.com/support/introduction-to-woocommerce/
Once you’ve got WooCommerce installed on your site after upgrading to Business or eCommerce, you can check out various payment options you can add to your site. Read next: Which payment option is right for me?
It’s worth noting that there are more options for collecting payments on WordPress.com. Not all of them require the eCommerce plan, but if you want e-commerce features (like the ability for visitors to browse the store, add multiple products to a cart, and proceed to checkout where they can enter the shipping address), we suggest using WooCommerce which works on the Business and eCommerce plan on WordPress.com.
