  Due to some pivoting business landscape issues, I need to create a website in the short term that will potentially get a million or so hits in a very short time. All I need is a basic blog with a few links.

  Can your premium plan handle that?

  You should not experience any issues as far as that level of traffic with a WordPress.com site.
