Need a live person

I am looking for a person to help me transfer a website. The past owner has passed away. We do not have any records from him that allows us to access the web site.

I need help with my sit…”No Title” homepage content is showing up on your Blog page, that the Blog page is blank in edit mode, and I am using a static homepage.

I am so sorry for your loss, and I want to help you get this sorted out.
Taking over a website when the previous owner has passed away is something we handle with real care, and it is not something we can complete here on the public forum, since it involves sharing sensitive documents privately. Let me walk you through what to expect so nothing catches you by surprise.
To transfer the site to you, we need to confirm two things: that the previous owner has sadly passed, and that you have the legal authority to act on their behalf. To do that, we ask for a copy of the death certificate, along with either a legal document showing your authority or a signed and notarized statement. That statement should include your full name, your relationship to the previous owner, exactly what you are asking us to do (for example, transferring the site to an account you own), and your contact email.
So we can handle this privately and securely rather than on the public forum, please reach out through our contact form at https://wordpress.com/help/contact/ and mention that this is a request to take over the site of an owner who has passed away. We will pick it up from there and guide you through each step personally.
Again, I am sorry you are dealing with this, and we will do our best to make the process as smooth as we can for you.

And a quick note for @gdbbsmaschino, since your question is a different topic: a Blog (posts) page is meant to look empty in the editor, because WordPress fills it with your latest posts automatically. If your homepage content is showing up there, it usually means the Homepage and Posts page are set to the same page under Settings and then Reading. Setting them to two different pages normally fixes it. This guide walks through it: https://wordpress.com/support/reading-settings/. If it persists, it is best to start your own forum topic so we can help you properly without crossing wires with Dale’s request.
