Need a white list for URL’s for firewall access – Teacher request

I am a teacher and our IT staff needs to know what URL’s are needed to allow access through our firewall for our school. We are planning on purchasing multiple professional licenses to have the students work in WordPress this year. However we need to make sure they have access prior to purchasing. Please help?

Hi there,
Please ask them to whitelist both the WordPress.com and wp.com domains, including all subdomains and subdirectories, then everything should work.
However note that you won’t be able to visit WordPress.com sites hosted on custom domain names. If your students will be purchasing custom domain names, those domains will also need to be whitelisted once they have been created.
