Need clarification: send reply to commenter's email

    I found this forum already: http://en.support.wordpress.com/comment-reply-via-email/

    But the emails I receive are not from comment-reply. I get an email that asks me to moderate (approve) comments, but I can’t reply through email. I don’t actually care about THAT feature, per se. What I want to do is reply to a comment on my blog, and have WP send the commenter an email with my reply. Right now, if I want to reply, I have to click on either their email address OR go back to their blog and comment on a random post to reply. It seems tedious. There must be an easier way.

    There is no way to directly reply to a commenter via email. You could get the commenter’s email address from the comment notification, but if you reply directly to the email without doing that, it will be posted as a comment to the blog.
