  apparently, the connect button via Facebook is not allowed .

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  The Facebook option under My Site ->Sharing can only be used to connect to a Facebook page, not to a personal profile. So if your Facebook account does not own any pages, you won’t be able to use that. Facebook does not allow connecting to personal profiles.
