Need help un-mapping domain (re-post as previous question ignored so far!)

    Hi.

    I asked a question about this earlier but haven’t yet received a response; and other users’ questions, much more recent than mine, have been answered already. That’s why I’m posting this again, in case my original question simply got overlooked – it is a Saturday after all. :)

    Last night I mapped my own domain to my new wordpress.com blog but have since come to realise that my needs would be better met if I hosted wordpress myself on my own domain. I’ve read elsewhere on this forum that the un-mapping isn’t something I can do myself but something that needs the input of a member of staff. I really want to get started ASAP so your prompt assistance would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.
