Need help with some site formatting with the "Hatch" Theme..

  Hi all,

  I’m trying to make a simple design portfolio site. The Hatch theme seems like it will do what I need, but I’m having trouble getting it there. Can you help with any of my questions?

  1. I would like it if on my sub-pages I could get rid of the navigation items on the right side of the first image. I’d like to be able to use all 960 pixels in that column for my images.

  2. I’d also like to know if there is a way to make it so that the featured image isn’t posted on the sub-page. I’d like to have an image on the homepage that serves as a link to the sub-page. However, I’d liek to be able to insert the picture in the post by itself, that way it can be clicked on and magnified on a subsequent page. Currently, it takes the featured image, shrinks it down a bit and makes it non-clickable on the subpage. Can you help?

  actually, I found that if I remove the “featured image” the formatting gets closer to what I need. However, I found another support document tht said that hatch will look for the first attached image and use that on the homepage. That unfortunately isn’t happening. Any ideas?
