Hi – I recently deleted my membership and domain with you guys. I actually need the domain cancelation to be processed so that I can use it ASAP for another format that I have. Any way I can get access to that today or soon?

What is the domain?
Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all, and we have no direct control over the process, so we cannot manually release a domain on request. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future.
If you’re referring to cydeldavid.com, that domain should be released by the weekend, at which point it will be available to register again as a new domain at any registrar.
We can also still restore it to your WordPress.com account for another 24 hours or so, should you prefer that instead.

If I restore it again to WordPress, can I use it with another account company that I have the website created on? If so, how long till I can transfer it?

Hi there,
If we restore it, you’ll be able to only point it to a site hosted elsewhere. To transfer it, you’ll have to wait for 60 days. This 60-day lock is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and cannot be waived.

The domain has been removed from our system and therefore we cannot restore it anymore. I have refunded you the payment.
The good news is that the domain is now available again and you can register it through the registrar of your choice.
