Need To Edit MX Records for my custom domain
-
There is no button to edit custom DNS for my custom domain as described by WordPress.com. How can I edit MX records for email settings after domain mapping if there is no way to get to an edit page? TJ
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Found the edit button. Have to go this way: Dashboard / Store (!) / My Domains. But if you go via My Sites / Domains / My Domains you’ll never see this button. Issue closed. Thanks, TJ

Hi there!
Sorry for the confusion. For now, DNS records will still need to be changed through your site’s dashboard. I’m glad you got this figured out.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with!

Thanks for responding my topic. And yes there is something you could help with: A couple of years ago I deleted my domain jannot at wordpress.com. The reason was too much complexity around my web services, servers, clouds and blogs I had to administer. I wanted to avoid to get hacked if I have no time to care about all these things what actually happened with one of my blogs at blogger.com. I regret that. And I know your answer already that you could say you said it loud and clearly that there would be no way if I delete my domain at WP. But I would like to get my domain jannot.wordpress.com back. And I would pay for that. Do you see a way? TJ

Unfortunately, there’s no way for me to restore that domain for you. I won’t go into the whole thing about how many times we make you confirm the permanent deletion, since you seem like you’re already well aware, but there is in fact no way around that rule.
Let me know if there’s anything else! :)

Sounds like “in Stein gemeißelt” as we say in Germany. I am wondering about this inflexibility on your side knowing about how easy it could be to undo issues like this. Cannot imagine that humans behind popular digital services like WP wouldn’t be able to let humans write a script to revise wrong decisions made by humans since it seems that the machine is your boss. No future if you clicked something wrong in the past …

I understand your frustration. We do this for security purposes. We are aware that some users are frustrated with this and we’ll continue to evaluate this policy with you in mind.
However, at this time, we can not restore a deleted WordPress.com address.
